Amazing and rare Mid Century Modern / Danish Modern walnut expandable dining table, dating from the 60s. Original design with inlay X, by American of Martinsville. with two leaf extension inserts. Easy sliding (pull-out) action that is fluid enough for one person to operate. Easily seats 4 (four) when compact and round. Ideal for smaller living spaces like condos, apartments or eat-in kitchens. Extend the table with a single leaf to comfortably accommodate a party of six or insert both to accommdate eight. Clean straight lines very reminiscent of Scandinavian designs. Gorgeous rosewood like patterns to the grain of the walnut wood.
In overall good original vintage condition.
